Overview
Christopher “Chris” Ruedi is a financial advisor focused on comprehensive financial planning and works out of our Bloomington, Illinois, office, serving individuals and families across the Midwest. While based in central Illinois, Chris works with clients throughout the region, including those in the Indianapolis market, where he continues to expand his practice.
Chris partners with clients on wealth transfer strategies, philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance needs analyses, debt management, and education funding. He delivers practical, goals-based guidance designed to support financial decision-making through every stage of life.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®), and Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®), Chris integrates long-term planning with disciplined investment thinking and real-world strategies tailored to each client’s priorities.
Chris began his career in financial services in 2011. Before joining Savant, Chris built his career at Kingston Wealth Management Group, where he advanced from financial advisor to vice president before the firm joined Savant in 2019.
In 2026, InvestmentNews recognized Chris as one of the Best Financial Planners in the United States, naming him to its 5-Star Financial Planners list1.
Chris earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in economics from the John Cook School of Business at Saint Louis University.
He lives in Champaign, Illinois, with his wife, Abby, their daughters, Sloan and Blair, and their son, Roman. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching sports, golfing, and tackling home improvement projects, often alongside his dogs, Rascal and Lola.
