Overview
Neal Richard is a managing partner and financial advisor based in South Portland, Maine. His focus is on helping professionals and business owners navigate complex financial planning, succession planning, and investment decisions. With more than 35 years of experience in banking and financial services, he provides a long-standing perspective on investment strategy, financial operations, and client service.
He co-founded Richard Brothers Financial Advisors in 1996 and led its growth for nearly three decades prior to joining Savant in 2026. Over the course of his career, he held leadership roles including chief operating officer, financial operations principal, treasurer, and board member, helping shape the firm’s operational infrastructure and align client relationships with long-term financial goals.
Earlier in his career, Neal held senior roles with State Street Bank’s Global Mutual Fund Custody division in Boston and served as vice president at Key Investments in Portland, Maine. These roles broadened his experience in institutional investment management and portfolio administration.
Neal earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and economics from the University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore School of Business and Economics, now the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics.
Neal is active in philanthropic efforts across Maine and has supported a range of charitable organizations throughout his career. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family along the Maine coast and Lake Sunapee, and stays active through boating, skiing, and golfing.
