Robert “Rob” Morrison is Savant’s chief experience officer and is based in our Lincolnshire, Illinois, office. He focuses on enhancing the client journey and expanding the firm’s service offerings. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Rob helps individuals and families navigate wealth transfer, philanthropy, proactive tax planning, retirement income strategies, risk management, and education funding.
Rob began his career in 2000 and discovered early on that coaching, which he valued as a Division I collegiate golfer, would shape his path in financial services. He has coached clients since 2001 and later channeled his passion into developing teams of advisors and building new ways to serve clients with clarity and purpose. He led Huber Financial Advisors as president and grew a close-knit team serving more than 1,000 families. He considers this collaborative achievement a defining milestone in his career.
When Huber joined Savant in 2020, Rob began focusing on two strategic priorities: helping new partners integrate into the firm and expanding client value through specialty offerings in longevity planning and values-based goal setting. He often draws on his own transition experience to guide incoming partners through the firm’s resources and culture.
Rob co-authored the second edition of Victory Lap Retirement and contributed to Retirement Heaven or Hell: Which Will You Choose? His interest in the evolving concept of modern retirement stems from observing clients redefine what fulfillment looks like after traditional career arcs. That work continues to influence his thinking on the evolution of advice, behavioral finance, practice management, and advisor succession. Rob also enjoys participating in podcasts and previously co‑hosted Bite Sized Finance.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in business with a minor in communications from DePaul University in Chicago. He volunteers as an appointed director of the Western Golf Association, which administers the Evans Scholars Foundation that provides full college scholarships to caddies.
Rob, his wife Emily, and their family love golf, travel, theater, music, and frequent trips to Michigan, often accompanied by their dog.
