Smit M. Desai

Smit Desai serves as a financial advisor in our South Portland, Maine, office, where he concentrates on exit planning for business owners, retirement planning, and helping young professionals such as doctors and engineers build comprehensive financial plans.

A Certified Exit Planning Advisor® (CEPA®), Smit joined Savant in 2026 when Richard Brothers Financial Advisors became part of the firm, bringing with him experience in relationship management and client service. He works closely with individuals and families to help align financial decisions with long-term goals, emphasizing clear strategies for cash flow, investment management, and life transitions.

Before joining Savant, Smit held progressive financial operations roles, followed by a position as a wealth management analyst at R.A. Hall. He later served as a relationship manager at Richard Brothers Financial Advisors, where he built strong client relationships and supported portfolio planning initiatives.

Smit earned his Master of Science (MS) in finance from Suffolk University in Boston. He also gives back through occasional mentoring at the university, supporting students interested in financial services careers. He was also inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma.

Smit values staying connected with family & visits his parents in India. His wife, Priyanka, works as an auditor in Boston. He enjoys following Manchester United Football Club and maintains an active lifestyle with regular gym workouts.
