Scott is a financial advisor in Savant’s Lincolnshire, IL office. He has a membership interest in Savant.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Scott is knowledgeable in all areas of financial planning, including wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance needs analyses, debt management, and education funding. In addition, he is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential, issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Scott founded Baril Advisors, LLC in 2006 and served as its president until it joined with Savant in 2022. Prior to Baril Advisors, Scott’s career was balanced between managerial roles in small business and providing professional services at CPA firms.
Scott earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Drake University and a master of business administration (MBA) degree from the University of Minnesota. He enjoys reading, outdoor activities, and spending time with his family.
