Kelli M. Peterson

Kelli Peterson serves as a senior tax strategy advisor at Savant Wealth Management, where she leads strategic tax planning initiatives from our Rockford, Illinois, headquarters.

Kelli is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. She also holds the Accredited Tax Advisor (ATA) designation from the Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation.

With more than a decade of experience in financial and tax services, Kelli brings deep experience to her role. Before joining Savant, she worked at an international food service supplier, where she focused on corporate tax strategy, planning, and compliance. She also led software implementation projects to improve operational efficiency.

Kelli earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master of professional accountancy (MPA) degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and actively volunteers in her community, supporting local food pantries, homeless shelters, and domestic violence shelters. Additionally, she is a former treasurer and current volunteer at Stateline Works of Mercy, which provides daily services to the homeless and those in need.

In her spare time, Kelli enjoys speed puzzling and strategy board games like Settlers of Catan, Space Base, and Race for the Galaxy. She also loves cooking for family and friends, spending time outdoors, and reading on her patio.
