Martin Armbruster serves as lead advisor and financial advisor in Savant’s Indianapolis office, guiding clients through complex financial planning strategies. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential, Martin focuses on wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax planning, retirement cash flow projections, retirement income optimization, insurance analysis, debt management, and education funding.
With more than four decades in the financial services industry, Martin co-founded the accounting firm Sherman & Armbruster, LLP before launching Treybourne Wealth Planners in 1985, which joined Savant in 2021. Earlier in his career, he worked for a regional CPA firm and served as controller for a construction products company in Indianapolis.
Martin earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society. He has dedicated years to community service, organizing St. Baldrick’s Foundation events that raised more than $375,000 for children’s cancer research and serving in leadership roles with the Johnson County Community Foundation for 31 years.
An avid runner, biker, hiker, and golfer, Martin enjoys outdoor activities. He and his wife, Carol K. Armbruster, Ph.D., live in Indianapolis. Carol is an author and teaching professor emeritus in the Department of Kinesiology at Indiana University.
