Scott Laue serves as a financial advisor in our Rockford, Illinois, headquarters, where he works with individuals, not-for-profit organizations, and retirement plan clients. He consults on plan design and oversees ongoing administration for corporate retirement plans.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Scott provides comprehensive financial planning services, including wealth transfer and philanthropy, proactive income and estate tax strategies, retirement cash flow projections, insurance analysis, debt management, and education funding.
Scott has worked in the financial services industry since 1991. Before joining Savant, he spent 17 years with two local trust and investment management groups as vice president, specializing in high-net-worth individuals and corporate retirement plans. His background spans asset management, personal trust, banking, and all aspects of wealth planning.
Committed to his community, Scott serves as a mayor-appointed and city council-approved trustee for the City of Rockford Police Pension Board. He is frequently interviewed by local media on financial topics. Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, and a Juris Doctorate (JD) from Valparaiso University School of Law in Indiana. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois and has completed the Certified Pension Trustee Program and the Certified Retirement Plan Specialist program sponsored by the Cannon Financial Institute.
Scott is proud to have earned the rank of Eagle Scout at age 14. He and his wife, Linda, enjoy family time, boating on Lake Geneva, and exploring Wisconsin’s Northwoods year-round.
