Kelli M. Peterson
CPA, CFP®, ATA, MPA
Tax and Business Services Supervisor
Kelli has been involved in the financial and tax services industry since 2011. Prior to joining Savant, she worked at an international food service supplier where her responsibilities included corporate tax strategy, planning and compliance, along with implementation of new software systems for increased efficiencies. Kelli earned both a bachelor of business administration (BBA) degree in accounting and a master of professional accountancy (MPA) degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
Kelli volunteers as a community engagement and outreach workgroup member for the Rockford Peace Center, a trauma informed facility created by the Mayor’s Office of Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking Prevention and the 17th Judicial Circuit Domestic Violence Coordinated Court, where survivors and their children may safely and more easily access the services they need. As part of this workgroup, Kelli ensures the volunteer manual is up-to-date and the community knows the unified message of the Peace Center. In her spare time, she enjoys playing a variety of strategy board games – Settlers of Catan, Space Base, Race for the Galaxy – and finds that cooking for family and friends as well as being outdoors are great ways to relax. Reading a good book on her patio is a favorite Saturday morning activity.
"If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail." I truly enjoy what we do at Savant. We help our clients plan for their futures, both the expected and the unexpected. Knowing that we can provide guidance and peace of mind brings me the most joy.
